WELCOME TO ACCESSIBLE LEEDS
My name is Nathan Popple. I am the editor of www.accessibleleeds.com. My aim is to help you understand the wheelchair and mobility accessibility available throughout Leeds.
I am 17 years old and I have cerebral palsy. I am a wheelchair user and I also use an electronic communication aid to help me speak and edit this website.
I am a former Whizz Kidz Ambassador, former Executive Board Member of Leeds Youth Council and I support the charity 1Voice. I believe strongly in fairness and do not think that the world should be able to disable people by not providing access to places.
The website provides up to date information of where is easy and difficult to access for wheelchair users in Leeds.
In 2013 I was awarded 'Whizz Kidz Campaigner of the Year' at the Houses of Parliament for my work as editor of AccessibleLeeds.
In 2014 I won the 'Children's Champion' award at the Child Friendly Leeds Awards for my work as editor of AccessibleLeeds.
In 2014 I also won a 'Special Recognition' award at the Yorkshire Children of Courage Awards for my work as editor of AccessibleLeeds.
Join us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter as we make Leeds enjoyable for all.
You can also subscribe to my YouTube channel Accessible Leeds (please see my video at the bottom of this page) to receive updates of my show 'The AccessibleLeeds Show' and interact with it!
If you are a wheelchair user and you would like to tell us about the best and worst places in Leeds then please use the 'Contact' form.
p.s If you are a business and want to be included in my site then let me know or, if you think any of my information is wrong then tell me and I will change it.
